Owen turns 2…

April 28th, 2010 Posted in Family Stuff

Our baby boy turned two in March and it is crazy how fast the last two years have gone by.  Owen is such a wonderful, funny, smart and loving little boy.  He is also mischievous, willful at times and is known to bite on his bad days :)

It is hard to put into words how much I love this little boy.  I waited so long for him to come and he has blessed me every day since he arrived.  He is quick to give us hugs and kisses and tells us he loves us all the time.  He is a wonderful big brother and is always so happy to see Ethan.  One of the best parts of my day is when I pick the boys up from school, I get Owen first and he runs down the hall to the Infant Room saying “I gotta get my brudda”.  He runs into the room, goes straight to Ethan and says “Hi bub-bub” and gives him kisses.  The teachers can not believe how loving and excited he is to see Ethan every day.  Owen has a wonderful sense of humor and comes up with some great one-liners.  He is very inquisitive – I think his favorite expressions are “What are you doing”, “Why are you doing that”, and “How’s this work”.  He loves tools, working with Jim on ANYTHING, doing anything that Jim does – including wearing his hat backwards and wanting to wear a Sabres shirt every day.  He loves helping me cook, do laundry and anything else he deems as ‘helping Mumma’ and he currently loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and would watch it all day if we let him.

Well enough of me bragging about my awesome son…here are some pictures from his 2nd birthday :)

Getting ready to dig into some cake…

Looks like Ethan wants in on the action…

For some reason food always ends up in his hair…

Enjoying his big-wheel that Gramma and Poppa got him…and you gotta have a screwdriver in each hand:)

And of course…the Mickey Mouse cake. This isn’t exactly what we thought we were getting, we thought we were getting an official Mickey Mouse picture on the cake but it turned out to be a ‘free-hand’ drawing of Mickey Mouse. Oh well, the cake was delicious and Owen didn’t mind at all.
